Everlasting Blooms Digital Retreat Experience
Everlasting Blooms: From Everlasting to Everlasting
Make room to remember the year you have lived and turn toward Christ as another begins. Enjoy this unhurried Advent devotional on your own, with a friend, or with a group. You do not need to be a pastor or have attended an earlier retreat.
Remember God’s faithfulness, recognize His presence without forcing an explanation for suffering, trust Him with unanswered prayers, and follow His light.
Two Meaningful Crafts
Pour one soy container candle early, using glass specifically made for candle-making and compatible wax and wick. While it cools undisturbed, wire twelve monthly bundles and build a Colonial-style evergreen Advent wreath. Natural accessories belong on the wreath, never in or on the candle wax.
The wreath remembers the year’s seasons. The candle reminds us of Immanuel: God with us (Matthew 1:23). It is a teaching reminder, not a sacred object. Unscented is welcome; candle-approved scent is an optional creative choice, not a spiritual message.
Scripture and Reflection
Psalm 90, Israel’s wilderness journey, Joshua’s twelve stones, the wise men following the star to Jesus, and the house built on rock guide the experience. After wreath-making, pause for Way Maker, then reflect on the cooling candle. Bring gratitude, grief, waiting, and questions; sharing is optional.
Display and Candle Care
The glass candle may sit in the table wreath’s center only while unlit and safe to move. Before burning, remove it completely and place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface at least 12 inches from greenery and other combustibles. Use battery tea lights for light within a wreath; never attach real burning tea lights.
Follow the chosen soy wax, wick, container, and candle-approved oil instructions for measured amounts, temperatures, cooling, and curing. Transport-ready is not the same as burn-ready; allow later pickup if necessary.
Supplies and access to music are separate from the digital download.
