Restful Blooms

Rest is part of the growth.

October invites the garden to grow quiet. Flowers fade, colors deepen, and seeds begin forming.

Restful Blooms is a four-hour Blooming Grace Retreat where Scripture, a shared meal, dried botanicals, reflection, and hands-on creating come together to help women receive the beauty of change and rest in God.

Life is not over after a peak growing season. It may be the beginning of a lasting new role, while seeds quietly form for what comes next.

What You'll Experience

Restful Blooms is more than a devotional or fall craft class. Scripture and physical actions work together as you share a potluck meal, create a Gathered Grace Decorative Broom, form a dried hydrangea wreath, choose a seed word, and become still during the theme song.

Every action carries meaning. Gathering honors the season you have lived. Binding reminds you that your story is held. The decorative broom receives a purpose beyond work. The dried hydrangeas reveal beauty in a changed form. Open spaces make room for rest. Seeds point toward growth that does not need to be rushed.

Scripture Focus

Matthew 11:28-30

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Jesus welcomes the weary. Rest begins by coming to Him as we are, not after every task is finished or every question is answered.

Abraham and Sarah's long season of waiting reminds us that waiting does not remove us from God's sight. We can rest, remain watchful, and continue faithfully without forcing the next season.

Your Journey

The Keepsakes You'll Take Home

Your Gathered Grace Decorative Broom holds nine botanicals representing the fruit of the Spirit. An object usually associated with work receives a beautiful new purpose: to rest in your home and remind you that your worth is not measured by constant productivity.

Your dried hydrangea wreath celebrates flowers whose fresh colors have matured into dusty rose, sage green, and other softened shades. The circle speaks of God's presence through every season, while open spaces honor unanswered prayers and the breathing room we all need.

No floral-design experience is needed. Every activity is designed for beginners.

Imagine Yourself Here

Imagine arriving in the colors of October and being welcomed by hot apple cider, a shared potluck table, and unhurried conversation.

You gather dried flowers and seed heads, remembering the fruit God has grown through your season. As you bind them to the broomcorn, Scripture becomes something your hands can hold: faithfulness forms the structure, and love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, and self-control find a visible place.

Then you work with hydrangeas that are no longer in full bloom but are no less beautiful. As you shape the wreath, you are invited to notice what has changed, leave room for what is still unanswered, and receive the person God is forming now.

During the song “Rest,” your hands become still. Nothing else needs to be accomplished. You leave with two meaningful keepsakes, journal pages for your ongoing Blooming Grace journey, and permission to let this season be enough.

Come As You Are

Restful Blooms welcomes the woman who is relieved to slow down and the woman who finds stillness difficult.

It welcomes joy, grief, weariness, gratitude, and unanswered prayer. You will not be asked to explain your pain, find a lesson in every hardship, or perform peace.

Come alone, bring a friend, gather your Bible study, or host the retreat for your church. Quiet presence is full participation, and every reflection or sharing invitation is optional.

No floral-design experience is needed. Creativity over perfection.

Ready to Begin?

Whether you experience Restful Blooms on the farm, at home, or with your church, our prayer is that you will gather what the season has given, receive the beauty of who you are now, and rest in God's presence without rushing the next bloom.

Rest is part of the growth. Let the seeds form in God's time.
