Handmade Paper & Journal Workshop
This is not just a class, it’s a full creative journey from garden to keepsake.
Guests will begin by touring the gardens at Blooming Meadows Farm, gathering fresh flowers and learning how to properly press and preserve them. From there, you’ll transform those botanicals into handmade paper, learning the traditional process of turning flowers into textured, one-of-a-kind sheets filled with natural color and character.
While your paper dries, you’ll shift into another beautiful skill, creating your own personalized wax stamp to use again and again. Then, you’ll craft a fabric journal cover, aging it by staining with tea leaves to give it a soft, timeworn look that feels both rustic and intentional.
Once everything is ready, you’ll bring it all together by learning a simple bookbinding technique, sewing your handmade paper and fabric cover into a finished journal that is entirely your own.
This workshop is slow, hands-on, and deeply creative. No experience is needed. Every step is guided, and all materials are provided. You’ll leave with a handcrafted journal, a custom wax stamp, and a deeper appreciation for the beauty of making something from scratch.
Come ready to wander, create, and lose track of time in the best way possible.
