Colorful Blooms
Look What God Grew.
A joyful September retreat celebrating the beautiful, resilient, one-of-a-kind person God has been growing through every season.
God created a world filled with different colors, shapes, strengths, and gifts. We were never meant to bloom exactly alike. Colorful Blooms invites women to remember what God has brought them through, recognize what He has grown within them, and celebrate how every life contributes something necessary to His beautiful masterpiece.
The season was not always easy. You are still standing. Now it is time to gather, create, praise, and celebrate.
What You'll Experience
Colorful Blooms is more than a devotional or craft class. It is a four-hour Christian retreat filled with Scripture, creativity, honest stories, friendship, music, movement, and joyful praise.
The experience begins with a potluck meal around a shared table. From there, guests use botanical hammer printing to transfer the natural color and shape of fresh flowers onto a canvas tote. Like Joseph, whose special robe was stripped away but whose God-given gifts were not erased, guests remember that human harm does not have final authority. The hammer represents the blows of a broken world, never God's hand; the released color becomes a testimony that God remains present and what He placed within us still has purpose.
The retreat then moves from bruising into beauty. Mary and Elizabeth shape the flower-crown moment: one woman recognizes grace in another, speaks blessing, and helps her find words for praise. Guests gather flowers, share how God carried them, and exchange blooms as blessings before weaving those flowers and testimonies into fresh crowns. The tabernacle story shapes the ribbon celebration: willing hearts brought different colors, materials, and skills around one holy center. Finally, everyone brings her own ribbon, color, story, gift, and praise into a joyful weave centered on Christ.
Every part carries spiritual meaning. Every woman contributes something different. Together, the colors reveal a fuller picture of God's faithfulness.
LOOK WHAT GOD GREW.
Scripture Focus
Psalm 65:11
“You crown the year with your bounty.”
Psalm 65 shows God watering the earth, blessing its growth, crowning the year with goodness, and drawing creation into joyful song. Three biblical stories guide the hands-on experience. Joseph's beautiful robe was stripped away, and betrayal and false accusation pressed his life, yet God remained with him and preserved gifts that later helped save many lives (Genesis 37, 39, 41, and 50). Mary arrived at Elizabeth's home carrying promise and uncertainty; Elizabeth recognized God's work, blessed her, and Mary's response became praise (Luke 1:39-55). When Israel built the tabernacle, willing hearts brought different materials, skilled women spun blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and distinct gifts became one dwelling centered on God's presence (Exodus 35-36). Together, these stories remind us that harm does not get the final word, women of faith can help one another recognize grace, and every willing gift has a place in God's work.
Supporting Scriptures include Psalm 103:4, 2 Corinthians 4:8–9, Ephesians 2:10, and 1 Peter 4:10.

Your Journey
The Keepsakes You'll Take Home
Botanical Tote
Your natural-canvas tote will carry the real color and form of flowers transformed through botanical hammer printing. Like Joseph's special robe and testimony, it reminds us that what was taken, struck, or falsely labeled did not erase God's presence, truth, or gift. Soft edges, spreading pigment, and imperfect impressions become reminders that being bruised does not mean being ruined.
Fresh Flower Crown
Your crown will hold flowers and stories shared by other women. Like Mary and Elizabeth, guests recognize God's grace in one another, speak blessing, and help individual testimonies rise into shared praise. The crown does not glorify us; it points to the God who crowns His people with steadfast love and draws us into caring community.
Colorful Blooms Journal
Your dated reflections preserve what God is showing you in this season. Return in future years to notice how your prayers, understanding, and relationship with God continue to mature.
No artistic or floral-design experience is needed. Creativity over perfection.
Imagine Yourself Here
Imagine arriving with a potluck dish and being welcomed around a shared table. Some women come with friends. Others arrive alone. No one is expected to have everything figured out or pretend that every prayer has been answered.
You will create, laugh, remember, listen, and share only what you are comfortable sharing. As hammers release the flowers' color, the heaviness begins to lift. As flowers are exchanged, unfamiliar faces begin becoming friends. As crowns are completed and ribbons are woven, the gathering becomes a field full of color and testimony.
By the finale, you will be standing beside women whose stories are different from yours but whose lives have been tended by the same faithful God.
Come As You Are
Colorful Blooms is for women ready to remember, create, connect, and celebrate. It is also for the woman whose joy feels quiet, whose prayer remains unanswered, or whose growth does not look the way she expected.
You will never be asked to perform happiness, explain your pain, or share more than you choose. Come exactly as you are. Let Scripture, flowers, creativity, music, and community gently turn your attention toward the God who has never stopped tending you.
No previous Blooming Grace retreat is required. Every retreat offers a complete message while also belonging to a twelve-month journey through nature, the seasons, and growing closer to God.

The experience is self-contained, beginner-friendly, and scalable from one participant to any group size. A shared potluck meal opens the gathering before Scripture, creativity, story, friendship, music, movement, and praise carry participants through the celebration.
Psalm 65:11 anchors the message: God faithfully tends our growth and crowns the year with goodness. Joseph's story shows that what the world strips away cannot erase God's presence or gifts. Mary and Elizabeth show women recognizing grace, speaking blessing, and turning uncertainty into praise. The tabernacle shows willing hearts bringing different colors, skills, and offerings together around God's presence.
The crafts are part of the spiritual experience. Botanical hammer printing transforms bruised flowers into color and testimony; shared blooms and stories become fresh flower crowns; and individual ribbons are woven into a joyful closing centered on Christ. The teaching remains welcoming to women carrying grief, anxiety, or unanswered prayers, and no one is required to share more than she chooses.
